MISSION STATEMENT:
The Saginaw Township youth Football League(STYFL) was founded in 2007. It is a volunteer ran, non-profit organization thats sole purpose is to serve our community by providing it's youth the opportunity to learn and grow through organized sports. The STYFL board members and coaches recognize that the true value of our program is not measured in our teams win/loss column, it derives from the values stressed and taught within our program: good sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, and pride. We insist that every child be afforded an equal opportunity to participate in both practices and games. We respect the innate desire to win, and realize that our commitment towards equal playing time for all players may occasionally dampen our chances to win a football game. However, this commitment offers our players a greater chance to learn, grow, and secure life lessons that will help them to win the bigger game of life.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
The STYFL was founded by and continues to run purely on the time and effort donated by it's numerous volunteers. Without the help of these kind folks our program would surely flounder. WHAT THIS DOES FOR SAGINAW TOWNSHIP:
- Organized Youth Football and Cheerleading for ages 8-14.
- Football played on real fields. Some games under the Lights!
- The league follows MHSAA rules. Games are officiated by MHSAA officials.
- A strong emphasis on instructional coaching and safety.
- Development of strong football players planning to attend Heritage High School in the future.
- Helps ensure students are staying safe and active while participating in a community based program.
